Stop Being Your Own Worst Enemy

Imagine someone who worked for you that consistently failed to complete tasks for the week.

They can't find the time to do the most important work that will help the team succeed.

They work so hard that they completely forget to plan for important appointments.

It wouldn’t take long before you sat her down for a serious talk about the future of their career. An employee would cause many frustrations.

Why, then, do you continue to accept these and other excuses from yourself?

Why is your lack of business or career development allowed to continue, even when you know how important those tasks are to your future growth?

Now, before you go thinking I’m being way too hard on you, know this: we all struggle with this very issue. We all put our business, career, our family, our friends, and even the neighbor we barely know before ourselves.

But I’m giving you permission right now to stop doing that, and start treating yourself as the VIP you really are.

It’s time to put your personal, career, and business growth at the top of the list. Only by doing that will you be able to do the things that matter, help more people, and achieve the goals you’ve set for yourself.

The simplest way to do this is to just make appointments with yourself. That hour or two you have free on Thursday afternoon? Don’t fill it up with mindless activity. Book yourself. Mark it on your calendar, and treat it as an unbreakable appointment, just as you would an appointment with a client, your boss, or your doctor.

Spend the time working on the things that are important to your continued personal growth and that of your business or career.

  • Develop a new product or service for your business

  • Write a chapter of that book you want to author

  • Reach out to people that you need to connect with

  • Spend time setting up systems that will help you be more productive and focused

In short, do those things you putting off and telling yourself "I'll do it some day." Don’t push them aside for “later” or “after your work is done.”

Often what people lack is a system that will help them achieve their goals. A simple "To-Do" list is not a system. A calendar is not a system. An appointment book is not a system.

What you need is a way to plan goals that light your fire and help you maintain your focus towards reaching your goal.

I have designed a 12-week class that will walk you step-by-step through building a system that will help you build momentum to achieve more. You can learn more about it HERE.

In the meantime, you can download my FREE 125 Tips to Your Next Promotion HERE.

I can help you transition from being stuck to getting on the pathway to your dreams. Don't waste another minute dwelling on your past failures or feeling like your life is off track.

A great future is waiting for you.

And I am cheering for your success.
